Each time it cannot find the drivers in any location and I can’t stop the found new hardware message popping up everytime i start windows etc. I continue to get errors mentioning the Generic IEEE 1284.4 printing support.has anyone seen this before and have a fix? I have tried uninstalling all IEEE devices in the device manager and rebooting, but they came back as before. I do notice in device manager, under OTHER DEVICES a "Generic IEEE 1284.4 printing support" with a question mark by it.
At first I noticed BROTHER SCANNER softer was already installed, so I removed that and the install went further without erroring, but still could not load the drivers. I have been though the HP instructions, tried the AUTORUN, manual install, but it is like the PC does not see the printer at all. I cannot seem to get these printer to recognize brand new HP LASERJET P3015 USB printers. They have DELL PC's that will initially ordered with VISTA, but we upgraded manually to WINDOWS 7.
